Fanatics, by nature, doth always prove their own undoing. She joined the Order of the Hammer under a male alias, with only love for The Builder in her heart... but her brethren suspected the boy who never aged. Brother Ulysus kept a vigil against her, raising his case to have her sent to the mines for heresy. Her paranoia grew with each passing day, till she let loose the fatal slip - a shriek, divinely female, upon catching Brother Ulysus in her Novice quarters. Her cleverly crafted fantasy fell crashing around her as she fled her brothers.
Brother Ulysus, in his haste, didst kill the parents under suspicion of hiding the villainess.
Retribution was swift.
And thus Anodyne Renfield fell foever into madness.

I love Hammerites too, them and thier big 'Boys Only' club and sing-song voices. The Mechanists were fun to thwack upside the head and drop into lava *cough*KarathDin*cough*, but the Hammers will always be the only religious fanatics for me .
Those Children... meep... that prancing (Invincible!) Gold Baby in Angelwatch scared me worse than any bug-beast ever did o_O;. I refused to turn my back on it! But I still love Karras .
